History

Teifimania was an idea conceived by four local mums with 10 children between them.

We are Claire, Helen, Heather and Lisa and have been working towards opening Teifimania

for the last two years.  As busy mums with very busy children, we noticed that the local area

was severely lacking in activities for children and families during both the winter and poor

weather conditions, and that we were falling behind the rest of the country in this area.

Indoor soft play cent res have been very popular in most parts of England and Wales for a

number of years but the closest one to us was over 30 minutes away by car.

After lots of hiccups along the way, including finding a large enough venue then getting a

‘change of use planning permission’ to accommodate the centre, we finally got to open our

doors at the end of the summer holidays.

We must stress that this is not a creche facility or nursery, all children must be accompanied

and supervised at all times by an adult in appropriate adult/child ratios.

Inside contains a decent sized indoor padded play frame with various physical and mental

activities throughout including  slides, games, ball pits and a small sports court for various

ball activities including basketball and ‘beat the goalie’.

The main play area caters for children over 4yrs of age and there is separate area for

under 4s only which allows closer supervision from the carers/parents.

Children up to the age of twelve are be able to exercise, learn and socialise through play

whilst parents and carers supervise in an informal, comfortable setting and enjoy food and

refreshments from the cafe provided.

We also cater for children’s birthday parties and can accommodate corporate events on

request. Please see details in the ‘Parties’ section. We also hope to encourage use by any

local child orientated groups such as ‘Mother and Toddlers’ and ‘Ysgol Feithrins’ and can

offer exclusive use if required by prior arrangement so please do not hesitate to contact

We aim to provide the local area with a fun and safe

atmosphere for the whole family to relax, socialise and have fun
